"God is good. God is Great. Thank you for the food. And Liberty and justice for all, amen."
God is great, God is good,
Let us thank him for our food,
By His hand we all are fed,
Thank you Lord, for daily bread,

Yours to live
+++++++++++++++++++
This day is yours to experience. This life is yours to live.
This world is a place in which you can act to make a
Positive, meaningful difference. This moment is one that's
Filled with possibilities.
It can often be difficult to make your way forward, and it
Is all too easy to lose sight of the unique and beautiful
Person you truly are. Take time to remember the best that is
Within you, and know that your authentic, miraculous life is
Stronger than any obstacle.
Choose to fill this day with your very own special
Expression of what it means to be alive. Right now is your
Opportunity to fulfill those yearnings that have always
Called to you.
You have the power to take any ordinary moment and put joy
Into it. Your happiness comes not from what you may seek to
Take away from life but from what you give, what you create,
And what you share.
This is your moment to live with all the purpose and
Richness you can imagine. Realize that nothing is really
Holding you back, and make this the best day ever.

Slow Down Therapy
Slow down; God is still in heaven.
You are not responsible for doing
It all yourself, right now.
Remember a happy, peaceful time in your past.
Rest there. Each moment has richness
That takes a lifetime to savor.
Set your own pace.
When someone is pushing you,
it's OK to tell them they're pushing.
Take nothing for granted:
Watch water flow, the corn grow,
The leaves blow, your neighbor mow.
Taste your food.
God gives it to delight
As well as to nourish.
Notice the sun and the moon as they rise and set.
They are remarkable for their steady pattern
Of movement, not their speed.
Quit planning how you're going to use
What you know, learn, or possess.
God's gifts just are; be grateful
And their purpose will be clear.
When you talk with someone,
Don't think about what you'll say next.
Thoughts will spring up naturally
If you let them.
Talk and play with children.
It will bring out the unhurried
Little person inside you.
Create a place in your home...
At your work...in your heart...
Where you can go for quiet and recollection.
You deserve it.
Allow yourself time to be
Lazy and unproductive.
Rest isn't luxury; it's a necessity.
Listen to the wind blow.
It carries a message of yesterday & tomorrow
- and now. NOW counts.
Rest on your laurels.
They bring comfort whatever their size,
Age, or condition.
Talk slower. Talk less.
Don't talk. Communication isn't
Measured by words.
Give yourself permission
To be late sometimes.
Life is for living, not scheduling.
Listen to the song of a bird;
The complete song.
Music and nature are gifts,
But only if you are willing to receive them.
Take time just to think.
Action is good and necessary,
But it's fruitful only if we
Muse, ponder, and mull.
Make time for play -
The things you like to do.
Whatever your age, your inner child
Needs re-creation.
Watch and listen to the night sky.
It speaks.
Listen to the words you speak,
Especially in prayer.
Learn to stand back and let others
Take their turn as leaders.
There will always be new opportunities
For you to step out in front again.
Divide big jobs into little jobs.
If God took six days to create the universe,
Can you hope to do any better?
When you find yourself rushing
& anxious, stop. Ask yourself "WHY?"
You are rushing and anxious.
The reasons may improve
Your self-understanding.
Take time to read.
Thoughtful reading
Is enriching reading.
Direct your life with purposeful choices,
Not with speed and efficiency.
The best musician is one who
Plays with expression and meaning,
Not the one who finishes first.
Take a day off alone; make a retreat.
You can learn from monks and hermits
Without becoming one.
Pet a furry friend.
You will give and get the gift of now.
Work with your hands.
It frees the mind.
Take time to wonder.
Without wonder,
Life is merely existence.
Sit in the dark.
It will teach you to see
And hear, taste and smell.
Once in a while, turn down the lights,
The volume, the throttle, the invitations.
Less really can be more.
Let go. Nothing is usually the hardest
Thing to do - but often it is the best.
Take a walk-but don't go anywhere.
If you walk just to get somewhere,
You sacrifice the walking.
Count your friends.
If you have one, you are lucky.
If you have more, you are blessed.
Bless them in return.
Count your blessings -
One at a time and slowly
Laughing at our mistakes can lengthen our own life. Laughing at someone else
s can shorten it.

Curing Victimitis
Watch your thoughts; they lead to attitudes.
Watch your attitudes; they lead to words.
Watch your words; they lead to actions.
Watch your actions; they lead to habits.
Watch your habits; they form your character.
Watch your character; it determines your destiny.
These words of unknown origin tell us that our silent and often subconscious
choices shape our future. Every aspect of our lives, at home and at work,
can be improved if we use our power to think, reflect, and make conscious
choices about our thoughts, attitudes, words, actions, and habits.
Instead, many of us think of ourselves as victims. We complain about our
circumstances and what others did to us. Whatever psychological comfort
there is in feeling powerless and blameless when things aren't going right,
in the end, victims lead unsatisfied lives.
We're most vulnerable to victimitis when we're under the influence of
powerful emotions like fear, insecurity, anger, frustration, grief, or
depression. These feelings are so powerful, we believe our state of mind is
inevitable. Our only hope is they will go away on their own. Yet it's during
times of emotional tumult that using our power to choose our thoughts and
attitudes is most important. We can't make pain go away, but we can refuse
to suffer.
Even when we don't like any of our choices, we do have some -- once we
realize we can take control. It isn't easy, but what we do and how we choose
to feel about ourselves has a profound impact on the quality of our lives.
Victims may get sympathy for a while, but that isn't enough.
Taking personal responsibility for our happiness and success can be scary,
but the payoff is enormous. Although we can't make our lives perfect, we can
make them better -- usually a lot better.

Good and Tired

Being tired from doing something feels a whole lot better
Than being tired of doing nothing. If you're going to be
Tired at the end of each day, then make it really count for
Something.
If you're weary, perhaps it's not because you're doing too
Much. Perhaps it's because you're not at all invested in
What you're doing.
A difficult challenge that's aligned with your purpose will
Generate far more energy in you than an easy task that has
No real meaning for you. You can accomplish much more when
What you're accomplishing is what you care about.
When your body is tired, a good night's sleep will revive
You. When you're spirit is weary, you'll need something
More.
You have a unique voice and a unique purpose that are
Longing to be expressed. Start living that expression and
You'll find an endless source of energy flowing through your
Life.
Get yourself good and tired with focused, disciplined work
On a purpose that connects with who you truly are. And
You'll find that each day you have even more energy than the
Day before.

Happy Moments
I took my sons out for a walk at a nearby lake the other day. The weather
was perfect for it. The sky was clear, the temperature was warm, the sun
was dancing off the waves, and flowers were blooming along the walk path
surrounding the water. Couples both young and old were walking along the
path enjoying all of this God given beauty. Dozens of people were fishing
peacefully along the banks and in boats. Children were running and playing
with their dogs. Families were setting up picnic dinners for later. Some
people were just sitting in the grass looking blissfully out on the water. I
even saw one young woman praying with a joyful smile on her face as she sat
under a tree. Never had I seen so many people spending their time so well.
The day after the great teacher and writer Leo Buscaglia died a note was
found in his typewriter. It simply said, "Every moment spent in unhappiness
is a moment of happiness lost." I for one don’t want to lose any more
moments of happiness that I have left in this world. I want to use and enjoy
every single one of them. It doesn’t matter if they are spent working,
playing, eating, reading, singing, praying, or just walking in the sunshine.
I want to spend my time well and fill my life with happy moments. I want to
choose love, share joy, and be one with God all day long every single day of
my life.
Happiness isn’t something you find. Happiness is something you choose.
Happiness is something you live. Life here is both precious and brief. Spend
it well. Live it joyously. Don’t waste a second of it on unhappiness. Go to
work with a smile on your face. Greet others with love in your heart.
Exercise with pleasure. Play with delight. Pray with both peace and joy.
Learn from your pain. Grow from your troubles. And always use every moment
you are given to choose more love, joy, peace, happiness, and oneness with
God.

~~911 Prayer ~~
Lord , we need a healing wind to blow across our hearts,
A gentle wisp from your lips to sheathe the aching parts;
Every Autumn is still the same, since that sorrow filled September
Our Hearts are filled with bitters holes that bleed when we remember
We didn't have to know each name to mourn them in our souls
Lord, please send your winds of grace to fill these gaping holes
We didn't have to see their smiles to miss their very essence
Even across each skyward mile, we still feel their presence
How can we measure a life undone, there job here never finished,
Alas, the loss of ever life, has left our world diminished
Lord carry each and every name windward to our ears
Till all the souls are lifted up in tribute with our tears
Lord , may the prayers of everyone be heard ,
Prayers that come come from painful hearts
As in silence we remember.

Adversity is only adversity. Choose not to make it anything
More.
Adversity will affect the circumstances in which you live
And work. Yet you do not have to let it affect who you are,
Or where you're headed, or what you're able to do.
Take note of the setbacks and adjust to them. But don't
Expand on them by making them a part of you.
Instead, use each instance of adversity as a reminder of why
You have chosen to move in the direction you are moving. Use
Each setback as an opportunity to redouble your positive,
Forward-looking efforts.
Every day brings new value and new possibilities. There is
Always a way to take the next step forward on the path you
Have chosen.
Find that step today and take it. No mere circumstance can
Stop you from moving steadily and joyfully forward in the

Life will challenge you regularly. Embrace that challenge
with a thankful heart and a creative, resourceful mind.
Each challenge has within it great strength. Go out to meet

strength becomes yours.
Challenge can be painful, inconvenient, embarrassing,
tedious and time consuming. And that same challenge also
gives life much of its meaning, flavor and fulfillment.
One of the kindest things you can do for someone else is to

of the smartest things you can do for yourself is to take on

Essence of Beauty

There are so many different aspects of life that you cannot
Ever experience them all. And therein lies the beauty of
Being.
With each dawning day comes a fresh new set of
Possibilities. The more you choose to experience, the more
There is remaining to experience.
As you contemplate all that you know, you create new avenues
Of contemplation. The more intensely you explore, the more
New territory you open up for further exploration.
There is no end to that territory of experience. For each
Possibility leads surely to a whole new universe of
Possibilities.
Within you is life that ever yearns to know itself more
Fully. Every moment is an opportunity for new and unique
Expression.
The essence of beauty is that there is no limit to the way
That beauty can be, no limit to the form that beauty can
Take. Now is the moment to experience beauty in a way that
It has never been known before.

Fully. Every moment is an opportunity for new and unique
Expression.
The essence of beauty is that there is no limit to the way
That beauty can be, no limit to the form that beauty can
Take. Now is the moment to experience beauty in a way that
It has never been known before.
~~Ralph Marston
Always put yourself in the other's shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it
probably hurts the person too.

Courage
One of the highest forms of courage is the ability to face my own negativity
without feeling guilty or bad about myself, and then take responsibility for
changing it. To begin this process, I first make contact with my deepest
spiritual core. Reflecting on the things I care about mostly gives me a
glimpse of my innate goodness. Building on this, God will, if I let Him,
gently reveal in me a caring and compassionate nature that can even be
described as divine. The courage to let go of unwanted thoughts and feelings
will develop when I accept that my higher, divine self is not separate from
me, but lies at the very heart of who I am
Be At Peace
You spend most of your life running after things, doing things. You forget
that being comes before doing. Those who remember this secret make an effort
to "be" and discover that when they stop and observe, life helps and brings
whatever is needed. Learning to be is learning to be at peace. It is our
most fundamental nature.

Be Tolerant
You have the power to tolerate anyone and any situation. But tolerance is
not just suffering in silence. It means going beyond any personal discomfort
you may feel, and giving a gift to whom ever you would tolerate. Give your
time, attention, understanding, compassion, care - all are gifts, which
paradoxically, you also receive in the process of giving. And, as you do,
you will experience your own self esteem and inner strength grow. In this
way you can turn tolerance into strength.

As you do, so you become. Every action that you perform is recorded in you,
the soul. These imprints ultimately mould your character and destiny. When
you understand this principle, you will pay more attention to bringing your
best to everything you do.
Do not give up when you still have something to give.
Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.
